Sophie joined the cultural diplomatic network in 2021 as a Cultural Attaché and Deputy Director of the French Institute of South Africa, after having been Deputy General Delegate for International Relations of the City of Paris, for 2 years. She was involved in the City of Paris in 1995 and was in charge of the communication department of the Carnavalet Museum from 1999 to the end of 2009, while curating several exhibitions.

In 2010, Sophie took on the General Delegation for International Relations of the City of Paris as a cultural affairs officer, specializing in international cooperation and the management of international cultural projects in Paris and abroad. In 2016, she joined the Grand Musée du Parfum in its prefiguration phase until its opening, as Director of External Relations and Curator of all the historical section of the museum.

From 2017 to 2019, she had the position of Director of the Auction Sales, Expertise and Conservation Department at the “Crédit Municipal de Paris”, where she put artwork back at the heart of the institution’s missions, in particular by creating and launching the “1% art market”, an innovative mechanism to support artistic creation in the field of visual arts, with an annual call for proposals.

In 2019, Sophie returned to the General Delegation for International Relations of Paris, this time as a Deputy Delegate, successively in charge of the diplomacy division and the cooperation.
