Sally Polley is head of the Curatorial Department at Noldor Artist Residency in Accra, Ghana. She holds a law degree and has a fascination for the arts, anthropology and literature.
With a background in fashion marketing and brand strategy analysis, Sally’s philosophy on exhibitions is rooted in a desire to explore the parallel realities in a shared timeline. She has curated numerous institutional exhibitions, including Kaleidoscope of Dreams (her debut and a group exhibition featuring the past and present Noldor Art community), A Walk Into the Unseen, A Step Into the Unknown: Nana Adwoa Frema Amoabeng and Nhwiren F3f3 Nhwiren A 3wu: Kwadwo Peprah. Her external work includes co-curating with Zahra Faye at The Mix Design Hub on Threads of Identity: Layers of Meaning.
Sally’s convictions about the arts have led her to research, with her process involving a
comprehensive understanding of the artist and their practice while paying attention to the
curiosities surrounding the manipulation of space. She is a passionate curator, dedicated to promoting contemporary art and fostering creative dialogue within the cultural sphere. With a keen eye for innovation and a deep appreciation for diverse artistic expressions, Sally aims to communicate the decadence of African contemporary art through her installation timepieces.
